At Brighterway, we’re proud to be the charity supporting our local NHS across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight. Everything we do is about helping people feel better, recover well, and live more independently.
We fund the extra things the NHS can’t cover projects and enhancements that bring comfort, dignity, and joy to patients, and support the wellbeing of the staff who care for them. From calming spaces and therapeutic activities to innovative equipment and community-led initiatives, we’re here to make a meaningful difference where it matters most.

We’re Brighterway – the charity supporting Hampshire and Isle of Wight Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust.
When the new Trust launched on 1 October 2024, bringing together Southern Health, Solent, and some services from the Isle of Wight and Sussex Partnership, we evolved too. Once the charity for Southern Health, Brighterway has grown into a charity that now supports people and services right across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight.
Our purpose is simple: to help people on their recovery journey and support them to live brighter, more fulfilling lives. We do this by funding projects and improvements that the NHS can’t provide on its own.
From creating calming, therapeutic spaces…
